Description.
It is a project that brings the food industry to the city, producing staple foods such as fish and lettuce, which are grown through a symbiotic process (Aquaponico), where the fish benefit from the vegetables and the vegetables from the fish, generating a huge saving of resources, water and energy. Production is much higher due to the cultivation technique used, making this system very profitable and suitable for the needs of the city.
Acuaponic with 1,700 m2 is designed to produce approximately 9,200 kilos of fish per year and 9,120 heads of lettuce per week, with these characteristics it will be the largest industry in the world in food production of this type.
The building is designed with the aim of being the most efficient food factory possible, taking advantage of the environment and location, positioning itself towards the movement of the sun and change of seasons. Integrating the industry with luxury apartments.
The structural complexity is determined from the measurements of the materials, the building is modulated by a basic width of 1.20 m.
The building could be characterized in 3 sections, the ground floor with a social character where residents and workers meet. Supported by shops, food market, restaurant, parking and an interior courtyard that opens to the public during special activities. A second, higher section where food is produced, which follows a linear and visible production process that can be appreciated by the public and pedestrians outside. In its highest part is the house, taking advantage of the view.
